Building A Dream
Born with tools in my hands, I’ve always been a tinkerer, a fixer, a craftsman and a jack-of-all-trades.
Growing up in a creative environment has been a true blessing. My father taught me at an early age how to work on cars and turn a wrench. My mother never let the paint dry in our house before coming up with a whole new interior design concept. My surrounding family and friends consisted of farmers, contractors, plumbers, carpenters, welders, artists and architects, whose direction and guidance shaped me into a cross between blue collar and creative.
In true jack-of-all-trades fashion, I’ve taken the long road in arriving at this juncture. Finding interest in a number of paths, I graduated from Missouri State University with a degree in Animal Science and Agricultural Business. Soon after, I found myself in the one place I swore I would never be; behind a desk. While the work was intriguing, something was noticeably missing. That desire to roll up my sleeves and work with my hands was calling my name. Before long, the void grew to an unignorable level. After three years pushing papers, I had to return to my roots.
Fortunately, I married the most loving wife and was born into a supportive family who fully encourage my business decision 100%. With their guidance, patience and encouragement I have gained the confidence to chase my lifelong passion. Welcome to River Valley Renovations. Thank you taking time out of your day to visit my site.
